The Drop (2010)

Cast: Claire Brown, Chris Jared, Maurice Legg, Alton Letto, Carl Patrick and Daniel Rose. SYNOPSIS: The Drop is a meditation on art, activism and immigration in the 21st Century. Two individuals from different worlds struggle to safe guard their identities and articulate their beliefs, one through art the other through activism. Both face personal failure and, more significantly, suppression by the political and economic system in which they live. The Painter, a naïve newcomer, examines and embraces everything he encounters including the distant and purposeful Activist, a figure he, by chance, runs into on his arrival. Despite their difference and the equal lack of security surrounding their lives, they become unified through their determination to express themselves.
